SQA
Th SQA diet started this week. Exams in PE, Photography, Geography, Biology, Admin, Spanish & Music Tech have already taken place. Masterclasses are running in all subjects and pupils are encouraged to attend, in full uniform to get some last-minute support from teachers. We wish all the young people well in their examinations and completion of qualifications.
Enrichment Programme
Pupils not involved in exams in S4 are being targeted for the enrichment programme, which is careers-based learning organised by Mr Marshallsay. This programme runs throughout May and will give young people the opportunity to learn about applying for jobs, different specialisms and let them meet people who support employability. This is a great opportunity!
S1 Stramash for School
S1 pupils were treated to some amazing traditional music performances on Monday this week. As well as hearing some gorgeous pieces, they were learning about the genre of Scottish music and culture.
P7 Information Evening
Parents and carers of P7 pupils are invited to attend an information evening on Thursday 4th May at 6.30pm. This will be a good opportunity to meet some of the staff who are responsible for the support of your children throughout their time in Gleniffer. We are looking forward to seeing you there, it doesn’t seem that long since the Open Evening!
Under 18s
As I type this, we nervously await the final of the St Mirren Cup. Our U18 team take on St Ninian’s this afternoon at Parklea Playing Fields. Whatever the outcome they have done themselves and the school proud, however…..we’re wanting that win!!!!
Dates for the Diary
Have a lovely weekend!
