Well everyone, this year didn’t quite work out as planned! I want to express my gratitude to our pupils, parents and carers and staff for the ongoing efforts to keep going with some kind of learning in the last few months. The efforts have been tremendous!
We don’t quite know what August will bring yet, but we do have a main plan and a contingency and in time this will all unfold and we will know in which direction we are travelling.
In the meantime, I wish all our pupils, families and staff a great summer. It might not be as planned but it is important to take time now to recharge so we are good to go, full of energy and enthusiasm in August.
To my S6….I wish your last year had been different. But we WILL get together again- keep your fingers crossed for October. You were a wonderful year group to work with – attitude, humour, manners, consideration for others – all first class.
To our new S1. Enjoy your next few weeks of freedom before you start in Gleniffer. We will be in touch before 12th August to confirm plans so don’t be worrying if you still don’t feel totally prepared – we are together in this and will support you all the way.
Our pupil celebration booklet will be online soon. Even though we had a short year, it was great to pull together the information I have been given on the wonderful things our young people do.
Wishing everyone a peaceful summer and stay safe. The more we follow the government advice, the more likely we are to get back to some kind of normal soon.
Take care
Lisa Chalmers
