That’s us through our first full week of all pupils in classes and it feels like we have never been away! S1 seem to be settling in really well and for the most part options and timetables are settled.
Your child should not report to school if they or any member of your household, or someone they have been in direct contact with have any of these symptoms:
The most common symptoms are new:
S1 & S3 Photographs
Photographs were taken yesterday, and your child will have come home with a card which you use to look at the images and order. The whole process ran very smoothly and I hope you are pleased with the results.
Miss Feggans met with S6 in two groups yesterday to run through a range of issues including attendance, common room and consortium transport.
SQA have issued their position on SQA Appeals and have very clear and strict criteria.
S3 Litter Pick
Weather permitting, we will have our first Freshen Up Friday with S3 on Friday 28th August during Period 3. Any pupils who want to volunteer should ensure they have appropriate jackets, in case of light rain, and add their name to the sign up sheet on my door by the end of Wednesday. Gleniffer HS is well known for trying to support our community, by participating in monthly litter picks.
Any pupils who would like to sign up for Student Council this year, should add their name to the list on the HT’s office door by the end of next week (28th August). Our meetings will be online initially. I hope to get pupils from across the year groups signed up this year. It is more important than ever that young people are having an opportunity to shape the direction of our school.
