PTA and Parent Council met on Monday night.
The PTA are busy planning the Christmas Fayre which takes place on 28th November from 7pm-9pm. They have asked that any donations for tombola or bottle stall be handed in to the school office.
Mrs Prentice led a session with Parent Council on Monday on Curriculum. We are currently reviewing our curriculum provision and structure and have already met with business partners, some staff and parents. This will be an ongoing process over the next few months.
This session, we are fortunate to be working with Derek Gall from Cani Coaching on an S3 Leadership Development Programme. 20 young people took part in their first session on Tuesday and their parents and carers came along later in the day to meet Derek and Tony, and hear more about the programme. This will lead to a residential trip later this month, which is causing much excitement!
The Halloween Dance went really well on Wednesday night. Organised by the badge holders, pupils danced the night away to some GBX and old classics. The costumes were amazing! From “I’m a Celebrity” to “Still Game”, TV definitely provided the theme, but it was the classics which won the prizes. Best Couple went to Molly Kyle and Cabhan Blythe as Mary Poppins and Bert and Best Individual Winner was Anthony Clarke as Freddie Mercury. He gave us an impromptu performance, which needs to be showcased at G Factor!
The S1/2 Halloween Disco and Movie afternoon takes place today and I hope to have lots of photos up on the website soon! Well done to the House Captains and Retail Class for their organisation of these events.
