This month’s student council chair is Marcella McLatchie and vice-chair is Rebecca Phillips. These young leaders ran their first meeting on Monday afternoon. They led discussion on the organisation of activities over the next few weeks, which includes filming of our school one-way system for S1 and P7 pupils and recognition of Black History Month.
Student Council are meeting again next week to look at their priorities for the school year. They have started their own twitter account and are organising an information board for pupils.
As you will know Gleniffer High always makes a huge contribution to our local foodbank and I hope that this year will be no different. If anything, given current circumstances, our community needs us more. In the week beginning 5th October we will begin our daily collection, run by the House Captains, with the final big push on Friday 9th October, which will also be a non-uniform day. You can learn more about foodbank services and supports here https://www.trusselltrust.org/
The next Parent Council takes place Monday 21st September at 7.30pm online
