Our National 5 candidates have had a busy week with prelims. They have turned up on time for all exams and conducted themselves well. If an exam finishes during the school day, pupils are expected to go to their next class. Now it is an anxious wait for the results, as staff are busy with marking.
One of our Higher Leadership Groups organised an exhibition on Monday night about their chosen charity Nightstop, which works with homeless people. Their particular focus was on the youth programme, which aims to provide young homeless people with a bed for the night. The pupils gave a presentation and displayed photographs showing the challenges faced by people without a home. They did incredibly well and should be very proud of their achievements.
Tickets have now gone on sale for the S1/2 Christmas Dance which takes place on the afternoon of 17th December. They are priced £2. Any families struggling to meet the cost can contact me at the school in confidence.
Parent Council met on Monday night and heard from Brian Donnelly who is working with us on our anti-bullying policy. Brian will be working with parents, staff and young people over the next few months.
