This week one of our S2 pupils organised a bake sale in aid of Cancer Research. She did a great job of promoting the sale and getting lots of goodies in for pupils and staff to buy.
We had our quality improvement visit on Wednesday this week. Our link Education Manager and a Head Teacher from another secondary school visited classes throughout the morning before meeting with pupils and staff focus groups in the afternoon. The focus of the visit was the quality of the learning experience for young people. We got some fantastic feedback and comments such as “calm school”, “great behaviour”, “good pace and challenge” were made. I am awaiting the final report but needless to say I am delighted that visitors were able to see the high quality of Gleniffer for themselves.
Our Malawi 2020 group continue to meet every Thursday after school and this week they were working on their fitness. A circuits session was organised to emphasise the importance of being physically fit for the expedition. All those involved had a great but exhausting time.
MSYP voting took place today with pupils from S1-3 having the opportunity to vote for their candidate. I hope to organise some more polling booths for seniors next week.
