It has been another short week!
On Tuesday, staff were in school for an in-service day. We had a great presentation from Brian Donnelly who was talking to us about being trauma informed and working with young people who have experienced trauma or have attachment disorder. The session was very informative and though provoking and certainly generated a lot of discussion in departments.
On Wednesday after school, staff met to hear from our working groups about the development work, which has been taken forward as part of our school improvement plan this session. The amount of work, which has been undertaken, is tremendous. Our Standards and Quality Report and new School Improvement Plan are being developed now.
Mrs Sangster and I went to meet with P7s from Todholm Primary School on Thursday. While Mrs Sangster met with teachers, I met with pupils. They had loads of great questions and we talked about our new school vision and values, and what this will mean to them as Gleniffer High pupils. We are excited to welcome our new S1 pupils on Tuesday and Wednesday next week for their induction days.
Yesterday was the Renfrewshire Games Finals Day. Pupils from Gleniffer competed in Volleyball, Hockey, Girls Football and Basketball. The young people had a great day and enjoyed competing against other schools.
