On Thursday 27th of June Gleniffer High School is holding our bi-annual fun day called CarniMalawi to raise vital funds for the ongoing refurbishment of Dzenza School in Malawi. This super event will be run by our new senior pupils. The carnival starts period 3 and runs until the end of the day.
There will be several fabulous attractions on the day including The Gladiator Challenge, Eliminator, Large Inflatable Assault Courses, Dunk the Teacher, Festival Face Paints, Festival Hair, Candy Floss, Coconut Shy, Tuck Shop, Beat the Goalia and TWO Surprise Carnival Rides.
CarniMalawi is a non-uniform day and it costs £5.00 for a wristband which includes the non-uniform money and free unlimited use of the Gladiator Challenge and Assault Courses. This year we also have 5 professional DJ’s coming in to create a real festival atmosphere. DJ sessions are included with your wristband. Wristbands have been on sale and can be collected from the Humanities department (see Mrs Bowie). The carnival rides will cost £1.50 and all other stalls will be roughly 50p on the day.
We recognise this cost may be too much for some families, and we do not want anyone to miss out, so please do not hestitate to contact your child’s pastoral care teacher in confidence to resolve this matter. We are looking forward to this special fun day to celebrate the end of term, with all pupils and staff of Gleniffer High School together. I thank you in advance for your generous support.
